Brandy Gerber was born and raised in southeast Michigan.  She studied music at Northern Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University.  
After graduate school, she looked for a new way of self-expression.  She started painting with her "Gramma" every week where she received wonderful guidance and developed her skills.  Her art is strongly influenced by nature, and all the beautiful resources she's seen throughout Michigan.  Her art also is inspired by her piano students and watching them deal with the issues of individuality and development of self-awareness as they grow.  She has worked in oil, colored pencil, acrylic, mixed-media and polymer clay.
