What type of classes are offered at CAC?
We offer classes in Ceramics (Handbuilding, Throwing and Raku), Glass (Kiln Cast, Fusion, Torch), 2-D; Painiting, Drawing and Digital Media, and Metalsmithing.
I have never worked in any of these mediums. Are there classes for beginners?
Yes! CAC has classes scheduled to meet the needs of novices, to accomplished. To accommodate beginners, classes are limited in size so each student receives one-on-one instruction as needed.
Does CAC offer children's classes?
Yes! We believe in starting children in classes to ensure their lifetime appreciation of the arts! See our course offering under the Youth section to choose a class that is right for your child.
Can I see CAC before committing to a class?
We welcome visitors and the opportunity to showcase our state of the art facilities. Please call us for a tour.
What happens if I miss a class?
Unfortunately, missed classes are non-refundable.
My schedule conflicts with CAC class times. How can I receive instruction at a time that works for me?
Let us know your needs. We will try to accommodate you with a time and instructor that works for you. Private lessons are available. Contact us at [email protected] and let us know your interests.
What do I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If there is anything specific, it will be stated in your class prep information.
What about supplies?
In most cases, supplies will be part of your class fee. Some will be permanently yours, others will be provided by CAC. We try hard to provide the best supplies for successful projects at a good price.
I am an experienced artist. Is there a place to work independently?
Our temporary and future quarters are designed with you in mind. We have private studio space as well as community space for all mediums. Check our Resident Space and Community Space on our website for cost and descriptions.
